Calculator Utility.
The WSIB System Navigator
offers a unique method for entering calculations into the system
During the form filling process
when the current field is a numeric field the user can enter the
information using the number keys on the keyboard.
Another method available to this
system is the Calculator
Magic Key.
When the current field is a numeric field the user can also bring
up the calculator by either:
pressing the <F12> function key or
placing the mouse cursor over the field and clicking the right mouse button
Either method will
bring up the calculator:

The user can enter
a series of numbers and calculations using the keypad on the
keyboard if the Num Lock is on.
For example: if
the user wishes to enter the Actual Last Day Earnings and knows
that the worker worked 3 hours and their salary is $14.65 per
hour, the user would enter 14.65, then press the * denoting
multiplication, followed by the number 3. The user can then
either press the <enter> key on the keyboard or press the
= sign on the
Calculator.
The number 43.95
now appears on the Calculator. The user can enter this into the
current numeric field by pressing the Insert Button on the
Calculator.
The user can use
the Calculator at any time by either selecting the Utilities | Calculator from the Main Menu, or by
pressing the Calculator button on the toolbar.

Intuitive Ease of Use
The
value in the Calculator can be automatically inserted into
the active field by the user.
The user does NOT have to
re-type the results into a field after calculating a value.
