CAD-7 Section interface.
The WSIB System Navigator has the capability to accept information
relating to the CAD-7 component of Claims Management.
The NEER Statements are grouped together based on the
Awards Date (Year). The statements consist of
both the Firm's Injury Cost Data for CAD-7 Rates and the
Firm's Injury Frequency Data for CAD-7 Rates. These two sections
are combined into one screen in order to share common data.
The CAD-7 Rating Factor,
Firm's Performance Index, Experience Rating Adjustment and the
Refund/Surcharge state are all computed by
the system. These results are included in the system so the user can track
this information from within the system and reduce the necessity for a separate
paper file for the Claims Management process. The computer program computes this
information directly from the information that the user has inserted in the CAD-7
Statement.
The resulting CAD-7 Costs appear at the bottom of the screen based on the values
entered for the Injury Frequency data for the CAD-7 Rate Groups.
These listings are added together to make the CAD-7 Cost Statement and the Firm Summary Report.
The Firm's Refund/Surcharge is automatically calculated from
the WSIB CAD-7 Tables that updated by Working Bytes Inc. as they become available
from the Board.
There is a 'What If' component to the CAD-7 section. The
user can adjust the values in the Individual CAD-7 Listing to show what the
results would be.
The user can change the Actual Injury Costs or the Actual
Number of Injuries associated with the CAD-7 statement and the system will automatically
compute the CAD-7 costs associated with the claim based on these 'what if'
values.
CAD-7 Output
As with all forms included in the WSIB System Navigator, the
CAD-7 Cost Statement Output looks
identical to the statement that the user receives from the Board.
CAD-7 Tables
The
user receives the updated CAD-7 tables as they become available
to Working Bytes Inc. from the Board.

Intuitive Ease of Use
All the
CAD-7 Costs are automatically computed for the user based on
the individual items entered into the system.
